Dear Friends,

We arrived back in Lajas yesterday. It has rained so much that parts of the road were quite tricky. The Lord made sure we made it through safely. It is very different only coming out as half a family. Joseph and Madeline are settled into a Mexican school and are staying in Durango with Wolfgang and Kelly Grotendiek. The Grotendiek’s work with UIM and Wolfgang is one of the mission pilots. So far so good, both Joseph and Madeline are adjusting well to being in a Mexican school. Both are enjoying making new friends. Pray for them to  be able to cope well with being apart from us and vice versa. They definitely are glad not to have to travel out to Lajas again, and so that helps deal with not being able to live with us for a few weeks.

We would continue to value your prayers for us as we continue to study the Tepehuan language. We only have two more trips after this one before furlough, and so we want to get as far as we can. There is much to get ready beforehand. Pray for all our passport renewals and Anne Marie’s  Australian “permanent resident” application. This will require me making a trip to Mexico City in September. Pray also for our air flights. Right now tickets are very expensive and so we are waiting on a number of travel agencies to get back to us with some deals.

For Jesus,
Andrew and Anne Marie
