Dear Friends,
We want to wish you all a belated Merry Christmas and a Happy
New Year. We pray it was a time of joyful celebration and time with family and friends. Unfortunately we had some problems with Yahoo Mail blocking POP3 clients and we were not able to send out any emails for the past two weeks. We have been able to receive emails and so it has been somewhat frustrating not being able to reply. Fortunately today I was able to find a fix and we are back in business.

Life as usual has been very busy and hectic. We came back from Lajas on December the 15th and then two days later drove up to the border to get our vehicle permit renewed and to do some Christmas shopping. We were back in Durango in time to celebrate Christmas. This year we had our Christmas meal Christmas Eve and celebrated it with the pastors and some folk from our church. As with the Latin custom, people arrived around 9:00 PM, we ate around 10:00 PM ad the fiesta continued on till 1:30 AM. It was very festive and a lot of fun.

Joel and Caleb (Anne Marie’s brothers) drove in Christmas eve from Canada and spent Christmas with us. On the 26th we all drove to the Pacific coast to Mazatlan and spent a week there. Anne Marie’s father and sister flew into Mazatlan. It was unusually cold there but we spent as much time as we could at the beach, and got in some surfing and castle building.

We drove back to Durango January 1st and are starting to get ready to head out to Lajas in a week’s time.

We praise the Lord for 2007. It has been great to see how He has continued to allow us to be able to be in Lajas. We look to Jesus for His guidance in 2008 and know He has lots in store for us. This year will be our final year before taking an overdue furlough in December of this year. It will have been 5 and a half years since our last furlough. We are trusting the Lord that I will be able to complete language study and begin preparing evangelistic Bible lessons in readiness for our return from furlough. We look forward to moving forward this year in the grace of Jesus in seeing our Tepehuan friends introduced to the one and only savior Jesus Christ.

For the King,
Andrew, Anne Marie, Joseph, Madeline, Julian and Sophia.
